Hestia Pro - Settings Reference

Hestia Pro is a modern, Material Design-inspired WordPress theme built for creative businesses, startups, portfolios, and online shops, featuring a multipurpose one-page front page layout with multiple customizable sections. Settings are found in the Customizer, the page/post editor sidebar (metabox), the Custom Layouts post type editor (Pro), and the WooCommerce panel (when WooCommerce is active).

Customizer

Header Options

Site Identity

  • Logo: Uploads a custom logo displayed in the navigation bar. Supports flexible width and height.
  • Display: Controls how the logo and site title appear together. Options are Only Logo, Logo With Right Text, Logo With Left Text, and Logo With Bottom Text.
  • Transparent Header Logo: Uploads a separate logo used when the transparent navbar is active. Only appears when the Transparent Navbar setting is enabled.
  • Site Title: The text displayed next to or below the logo, depending on the Display setting.
  • Tagline: A short descriptor shown alongside the site title when the Display setting includes text.
  • Site Icon: A square image used as the browser favicon and app icon.

Website - Very Top Bar

A thin bar displayed above the main navigation. Disabled by default.

  • Disable section: Hides the Very Top Bar entirely when checked.
  • Layout: Positions the top bar content to the left or right side. Available only in Pro.
  • Background color: Sets the background color of the Very Top Bar. Available only in Pro.
  • Text Color: Changes the color of text in the Very Top Bar. Available only in Pro.
  • Link Color: Changes the color of links in the Very Top Bar. Available only in Pro.
  • Link color on hover: Changes the color of links when hovered. Available only in Pro.

The Very Top Bar pulls content from the Very Top Bar widget area and the Very Top Bar menu location.

Website - Header (Navigation)

  • Enable full screen menu: When checked, the mobile menu expands to fill the entire screen instead of dropping down. Available only in Pro.
  • Enable Search in Menu: Adds a search icon to the navigation bar that opens an inline search field.
  • Transparent Navbar: When enabled, the navbar background is transparent on the front page hero area and becomes opaque on scroll. Disabling it gives the navbar a solid background at all times.
  • Sticky Navbar: Keeps the navigation bar fixed at the top of the viewport as the user scrolls.
  • Enable menu Mini Cart: Adds a mini shopping cart icon to the navigation bar. Only appears when WooCommerce is active. In Pro, this control adds full cart icon customization.
  • Customize Mini Cart Icon: Selects from preset cart icon styles (shopping cart, basket, store, etc.). Only appears when WooCommerce is active. Available only in Pro.
  • Custom Icon: Enters custom HTML or SVG markup for the cart icon. Only appears when WooCommerce is active. Available only in Pro.
  • Enable Mobile Menu Icon Customization: Allows replacing the default hamburger icon with a custom icon. In Pro, this reveals the Icon Code field.
  • Icon Code: Enters custom text, SVG, or HTML to replace the default mobile menu toggle icon. Only appears when Mobile Menu Icon Customization is enabled. Available only in Pro.
  • Layout: Positions the navigation elements to the left (logo left, menu right), center (logo centered above menu), or right (logo right, menu left).

Posts & Pages - Header

  • Posts/Pages Layout: Controls the header style on inner pages and posts. Options are Default (full header image with title overlay), No Content (plain colored header with no title), and Classic Blog (small header with title below).
  • Products Layout: Controls the header style on WooCommerce product pages. Options are No Content and Classic Blog. Only appears when WooCommerce is active.
  • Header Image: Uploads a default image displayed in the header area of posts and pages.
  • Enable Header Image Sitewide: When checked, the header image appears on all pages including the front page, rather than only on inner pages.
  • Header Gradient: Sets the secondary color used in the gradient overlay on the header area.

Front Page Sections

The front page sections panel appears when a static front page is set in Settings > Reading. Sections can be reordered by drag-and-drop in the Customizer panel. Section reordering is available only in Pro.

Big Title Section

The hero area at the top of the front page.

  • Disable section: Hides the Big Title Section entirely.
  • Big Title Background: Selects the background type. Options are Image, Parallax, and Video. Video background is available only in Pro.
  • Image: Uploads the background image for the hero area (when Image type is selected).
  • First Layer / Second Layer: Uploads the parallax layer images (when Parallax type is selected).
  • Title: The main heading displayed in the hero area. In Lite, this is a single text field. In Pro, it moves into the repeater Slider Content control.
  • Subtitle: The text displayed below the title.
  • Button text: The label for the call-to-action button.
  • Button URL: The link destination for the call-to-action button.
  • Slider Content: A repeater control that creates multiple slides, each with its own image, title, subtitle, text, two buttons with links, and color options. Available only in Pro.
  • Disable auto-play: Stops the slider from automatically cycling through slides. Available only in Pro.
  • Layout: Aligns the hero content to left, center, or right. When set to left or right, a widget area appears on the opposite side.
  • Header Video / Video URL: Uploads or links to a video background for the hero area (when Video type is selected). Available only in Pro.

Features

  • Disable section: Hides the Features section.
  • Section Title: The heading displayed above the feature items.
  • Section Subtitle: The descriptive text below the section title.
  • Features Content: A repeater control where each item has an icon, image, title, text, link, and color. Available only in Pro. In Lite, this section appears with default content but cannot be edited via repeater.

About

  • Disable section: Hides the About section.
  • About background: Uploads a background image for the section. Only appears when a static front page is set.
  • About Content: The content for this section is pulled from the front page itself. You can edit it directly or via a page builder.

Shop

This section only appears when WooCommerce is active.

  • Disable section: Hides the Shop section from the front page.
  • Section Title: The heading displayed above the products.
  • Section Subtitle: The descriptive text below the section title.
  • Number of Items: Sets how many products are displayed.
  • Categories: Filters displayed products to specific WooCommerce categories. Available only in Pro.
  • Order: Sets the sort order to ascending or descending. Available only in Pro.
  • WooCommerce shortcode: Replaces the default product display with a custom WooCommerce shortcode. Available only in Pro.

Portfolio

This section only appears when the Jetpack plugin is active with the Custom Content Types module enabled. Available only in Pro.

  • Disable section: Hides the Portfolio section.
  • Section Title: The heading displayed above the portfolio items.
  • Section Subtitle: The descriptive text below the section title.
  • Number of Items: Sets how many portfolio items are displayed.
  • Enable big boxes?: Switches to a masonry-style layout with alternating large and small cards. Requires more than three portfolio items to see the effect.
  • Open in Lightbox: When checked, clicking a portfolio item opens it in a lightbox overlay instead of navigating to the item page.

Team

  • Disable section: Hides the Team section.
  • Section Title: The heading displayed above the team members.
  • Section Subtitle: The descriptive text below the section title.
  • Team Content: A repeater control where each team member has a photo, name, subtitle (role), bio text, link, and social media links.

Pricing

Available only in Pro.

  • Disable section: Hides the Pricing section. Hidden by default.
  • Section Title: The heading displayed above the pricing tables.
  • Section Subtitle: The descriptive text below the section title.
  • Pricing Table One / Two: Each pricing table has a title, icon, price, features (separated by line breaks), button text, and button link.

Ribbon

  • Disable section: Hides the Ribbon section. Hidden by default.
  • Background Image: Uploads a background image for the ribbon.
  • Text: The call-to-action message displayed in the ribbon.
  • Button Text: The label for the ribbon's button.
  • Link: The URL the button links to.

Testimonials

  • Disable section: Hides the Testimonials section.
  • Section Title: The heading displayed above the testimonials.
  • Section Subtitle: The descriptive text below the section title.
  • Testimonials Content: A repeater control where each testimonial has a photo, name, subtitle (role), testimonial text, and link.

Clients Bar

  • Disable section: Hides the Clients Bar section. Hidden by default.
  • Clients Bar Content: A repeater control where each item has a logo image and a link.

Subscribe

  • Disable section: Hides the Subscribe section. Hidden by default.
  • Background Image: Uploads a background image for the section.
  • Section Title: The heading displayed in the subscribe area.
  • Section Subtitle: The text below the section title.

The subscribe form itself is managed through the Subscribe widget area using the Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) plugin or similar.

Blog

  • Disable section: Hides the Blog section from the front page.
  • Section Title: The heading displayed above the blog posts.
  • Section Subtitle: The descriptive text below the section title.
  • Number of Items: Sets how many recent posts are displayed.

Contact

  • Disable section: Hides the Contact section.
  • Section Title: The heading displayed above the contact area.
  • Section Subtitle: The text below the section title.
  • Background Image: Uploads a background image for the section.
  • Form Title: The heading displayed above the contact form card.
  • Shortcode: Enters a contact form plugin shortcode to display a form in the section.
  • Contact Content: A rich text editor for the contact information displayed alongside the form (address, phone, email, map embed, etc.).

Appearance Settings

General Settings

  • Page Sidebar Layout: Controls the default sidebar position on pages. Options are Full Width, Left Sidebar, and Right Sidebar.
  • Blog Sidebar Layout: Controls the default sidebar position on blog pages and archives.
  • Shop Sidebar Layout: Controls the sidebar position on WooCommerce shop and archive pages. Only appears when WooCommerce is active. In Pro, an additional Off Canvas option slides the sidebar in from the side when triggered.
  • Sidebar width (%): Sets the width of the sidebar as a percentage of the page. Available only in Pro.
  • Container width (px): Sets the maximum width of the content container, with responsive values for desktop, tablet, and mobile. Available only in Pro.
  • Enable Scroll to Top: Shows a button that scrolls the page to the top when clicked.
  • Boxed Layout: When enabled, the page content is contained within a centered box with visible margins on wide screens.
  • Disable Frontpage Sections: When checked, all front page sections are hidden, even on a static front page.

Typography

Organized into two tabs: Font Family and Font Size.

Font Family tab:

  • Headings font family: Selects the font used for all heading elements (h1-h6) throughout the site.
  • Body font family: Selects the font used for all body text.
  • Font Subsets: Selects which character subsets to load (Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Vietnamese, etc.), allowing proper display of non-Latin scripts.
  • Local fonts hosting: When enabled, Google Fonts are served from your own server instead of Google's CDN, which can improve privacy compliance.

Font Size tab:

Posts & Pages group:

  • Title: Adjusts the font size of post and page titles in the header area. The value is a relative adjustment (from -25 to +25 pixels).
  • Headings: Adjusts the font size of all headings within post and page content.
  • Content: Adjusts the font size of body text within post and page content.

Frontpage Sections group:

  • Big Title Section: Adjusts the font size of the title, subtitle, and button in the hero area.
  • Section Title: Adjusts the font size of front page section headings and card titles.
  • Section Subtitle: Adjusts the font size of subtitles in front page sections.
  • Content: Adjusts the font size of body text in front page sections.

Generic options group (Pro only):

  • Menu: Adjusts the font size of navigation menu items. Supports responsive values for desktop, tablet, and mobile. Available only in Pro.

In Pro, all font size controls support responsive values (separate values for desktop, tablet, and mobile).

Button

  • Padding (px): Sets the vertical and horizontal padding inside buttons.
  • Border radius: Controls the corner rounding of buttons, from sharp corners (0) to fully rounded (50).
  • Hover effect: Selects the visual effect when hovering over buttons. Options are Shadow (lifts the button with a shadow) and Color (darkens the button color). Available only in Pro.

Scroll To Top

This section appears only in Pro. In Lite, only the enable toggle appears under General Settings.

  • Enable Scroll to Top: Shows or hides the scroll-to-top button.
  • Choose Side: Places the button on the right or left side of the screen.
  • Type: Selects whether the button displays an icon or a custom image.
  • Scroll to Top Icon: Selects from preset arrow icon styles.
  • Image: Uploads a custom image for the button (when Type is set to Image).
  • Label: Adds a text label to the button.
  • Offset (px): Sets how far the user must scroll before the button appears.
  • Hide on mobile: Hides the scroll-to-top button on mobile devices.
  • Padding (px): Sets the padding inside the button, with responsive values.
  • Icon Size: Controls the size of the icon or image inside the button, with responsive values.
  • Border Radius (%): Controls the corner rounding of the button.
  • Color: Sets the icon color.
  • Hover Color: Sets the icon color on hover.
  • Background Color: Sets the button background color.
  • Background Hover Color: Sets the button background color on hover.

Colors

  • Accent Color: The primary highlight color used for buttons, links, and interactive elements throughout the site.
  • Secondary Color: A secondary color used for headings and card titles. Available only in Pro.
  • Body Text Color: Controls the color of body text across the site. Available only in Pro.
  • Header Overlay Color & Opacity: Sets the color and transparency of the overlay on the header image area. Available only in Pro.
  • Header / Slider Text Color: Controls the color of text in the header and big title section. Available only in Pro.
  • Navbar Background Color: Sets the background color of the navigation bar when it is not transparent. Available only in Pro.
  • Navbar Text Color: Sets the color of menu items and text in the navigation bar. Available only in Pro.
  • Navbar Text Color on Hover: Sets the color of menu items when hovered. Available only in Pro.
  • Transparent Navbar Text Color: Sets the color of menu items when the navbar is in its transparent state over the hero area. Available only in Pro.
  • Front Page Sections Background: Sets the background color for all front page sections. Available only in Pro.
  • Front Page Section Title: Sets the color of section titles on the front page. Available only in Pro.
  • Front Page Subtitle: Sets the color of section subtitles on the front page. Available only in Pro.

Background Image

  • Background Image: Uploads an image displayed behind the page content area. Visible primarily on boxed layouts or where the content does not cover the full viewport.
  • Number of widgets areas: Selects how many widget columns appear in the footer (1 to 4). Available only in Pro.
  • Footer Credits: A text area for the copyright notice and credits displayed at the bottom of every page. Accepts HTML. Available only in Pro.
  • Layout: Positions the footer credits and menu to the left, center, or right. Available only in Pro.
  • Text color: Sets the color of text in the bottom footer bar. Available only in Pro.
  • Background color: Sets the background color of the footer area. Available only in Pro.
  • Widgets text color: Sets the text color of widgets in the footer columns. Available only in Pro.

Blog Settings

Blog

  • Featured Posts - Categories: Selects a category whose posts are displayed in a featured area at the top of the blog page. Set to "Disable section" to hide.
  • Blog Layout: Selects the overall blog archive layout. Options are Alternative Layout (image to the side), Normal Layout (image on top), and Grid Layout (multi-column cards, Pro only).
  • Grid Layout: When Grid Layout is selected, choose from 1 to 4 columns. Available only in Pro.
  • Enable Masonry: When using a multi-column grid, arranges cards in a masonry (Pinterest-style) layout. Only available when Grid Layout has 2 or more columns. Available only in Pro.
  • Display Blog Categories: Controls how categories appear on blog post cards. Options are None, First (only the primary category), and All.
  • Blog Post Content: Selects whether the blog archive shows an Excerpt or the full Content for each post.
  • Excerpt length: Sets the word count for excerpts. Only appears when Blog Post Content is set to Excerpt.
  • Post Pagination: Selects between numbered pagination and infinite scroll.
  • Read more: Customizes the text of the read more link on blog cards.
  • Authors Section - Team members to appear on blog page: Selects team members (from the Team section) to display at the bottom of the blog archive. Available only in Pro.
  • Authors Section - Background Image: Uploads a background image for the authors area. Available only in Pro.
  • Subscribe Section - Disable section: Hides the subscribe section on the blog page. Available only in Pro.
  • Subscribe Section - Section Title: Sets the heading for the blog subscribe area. Available only in Pro.
  • Subscribe Section - Section Subtitle: Sets the subtitle text. Available only in Pro.
  • Meta Data Section: A template field for blog archive post meta, using tokens like {hestia_author} and {hestia_publish_date}. Available only in Pro.

Posts & Pages

  • Enable Sharing Icons: Shows social sharing buttons on single posts and pages.
  • Display Categories: Shows the category list on single posts.
  • Display Tags: Shows the tag list on single posts.
  • Display Related Posts: Shows a row of related posts at the bottom of single posts.
  • Meta Data Section: A template field for single post meta, using tokens. Available only in Pro.

WooCommerce

This panel and all its sections only appear when the WooCommerce plugin is active.

Shop (Product Catalog)

  • Hide categories: Hides category labels on product cards in the shop archive. Available only in Pro.
  • Style: Selects between Boxed (card with shadow) and Plain (flat, no card) product card styles. Available only in Pro.
  • Image style: Selects the hover effect on product card images. Options include None, Pop, Zoom, Swipe Next Image, Blur, Fade In, Fade Out, Glow, Colorize, and Grayscale. Available only in Pro.
  • Pagination Type: Selects between numbered pagination and infinite scroll for the shop page. Available only in Pro.

Cart

  • Enable Cross-Sell Products: Shows cross-sell product suggestions on the cart page. Available only in Pro.
  • Enable payment icons: Displays payment method icons on the cart page. Available only in Pro.

Payment Icons

  • Payment Icons: A repeater control to add payment method icons (Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, etc.) using built-in icons or custom images. Available only in Pro.

Single Product

  • Product Page Elements: Reorders and toggles visibility of elements on the single product page (title, rating, price, short description, add to cart, meta). Available only in Pro.
  • Enable seamless add to cart: Adds products to the cart without a page reload. Available only in Pro.
  • Show Breadcrumbs: Displays breadcrumb navigation on product pages. Available only in Pro.
  • Show Product Tabs: Shows or hides the description, reviews, and additional information tabs. Available only in Pro.
  • Hide related products: Removes the related products section from product pages. Available only in Pro.
  • Related products - Section Title: Customizes the heading above related products. Available only in Pro.
  • Related products - Number of related products: Sets how many related products are displayed. Available only in Pro.
  • Enable exclusive products: Shows a curated product section below the product page. Available only in Pro.
  • Exclusive products - Section Title: Sets the heading for the exclusive products area. Available only in Pro.
  • Exclusive products - Categories: Selects which product categories to feature. Available only in Pro.

Checkout

  • Disable Order Note: Hides the order notes field on the checkout page. Available only in Pro.
  • Disable Coupon: Hides the coupon code field on the checkout page. Available only in Pro.
  • Distraction Free Checkout: Removes the header and footer from the checkout page for a streamlined experience. Available only in Pro.

White Label

This section only appears when the Pro license is on the Agency plan and the White Label module is not already hidden. Available only in Pro.

  • White Label Settings: Links to the White Label administration page where you can rename the theme, change the author, and hide the White Label settings from other administrators.

Theme Options (Hooks Page)

Available only in Pro. Found under the theme name submenu in the WordPress admin sidebar.

The Hooks page provides textarea fields for every theme hook location, allowing you to insert custom HTML, JavaScript, or PHP code at specific points in the page layout without editing template files. Each hook corresponds to a position in the page structure (e.g., before header, after footer, inside each front page section). An "Execute PHP" checkbox next to each field enables PHP execution in the custom code. This page is intended for developers and advanced users.

Page/Post Editor Settings

Hestia Page Settings (Metabox)

This metabox appears on pages and posts. On products, it appears when the Pro version is active.

  • Sidebar Layout: Overrides the global sidebar layout for the current page or post. Options are Full Width, Left Sidebar, and Right Sidebar.
  • Header Layout: Overrides the global header layout for the current page or post. Options are Default (full header), No Content (plain header), and Classic Blog (compact header). Available only in Pro.
  • Disable Navigation: When checked, hides the header and navigation bar on this specific page or post.
  • Disable Footer: When checked, hides the footer on this specific page or post.
  • Disable Title: When checked, hides the page or post title from the header area. Available only in Pro.
  • Enable Transparent Header: When checked, forces the transparent navbar style on this specific page or post, regardless of the global Transparent Navbar setting. Available only in Pro.

Page Templates

  • Default Template: The standard page layout with header, content, and footer.
  • Page with Sidebar: Displays the page content alongside the Sidebar widget area.
  • Fullwidth Template: Removes the sidebar and displays content in a full-width container.
  • Page Builder Full Width: Removes the sidebar, title, and padding, giving full control to a page builder plugin.
  • Page Builder Blank: Removes the header, footer, sidebar, title, and all padding, providing a completely blank canvas for page builder use.

Custom Layouts

Available only in Pro.

Custom Layouts is a custom post type that allows you to create custom headers, footers, page headers, 404 pages, and hook-based content injections using the WordPress editor or a page builder.

Each Custom Layout has the following settings in its editor:

  • Layout: Selects where the layout is applied. Options are Header, Page Header, Footer, Hooks, and 404 Page. When the PWA plugin is active, Offline Page and Internal Server Error Page also appear.
  • Hooks: When the Layout is set to Hooks, selects which theme hook location to inject the content at (e.g., before header, after header, before content, after content, before footer, etc.).
  • Priority: Controls the order in which multiple layouts on the same hook are rendered. Lower numbers render first.
  • Conditional Logic: Defines where the layout appears using rule groups. Each rule targets a specific condition (post type, specific page, category archive, user role, etc.) with "is equal to" or "is not equal to" operators. Multiple rules within a group use AND logic; multiple groups use OR logic. If no rules are set, the layout applies site-wide.

Widget Areas

  • Sidebar: The main sidebar displayed on blog posts, pages using the Page with Sidebar template, and archive pages when sidebar layouts are enabled.
  • WooCommerce Sidebar: A sidebar displayed on WooCommerce shop and product pages when a sidebar layout is enabled for the shop.
  • Very Top Bar: A widget area in the thin bar above the main navigation. Content here appears alongside the Very Top Bar menu.
  • Navigation: A widget area in the header/navigation area, typically used for additional header content alongside the main menu.
  • Big Title Section: A widget area displayed in the hero section when the Big Title layout is set to left or right alignment, appearing on the opposite side of the text content.
  • Subscribe: A widget area in the front page Subscribe section, intended for a newsletter signup form widget (e.g., Brevo/Sendinblue).
  • Blog Subscribe Section: A widget area for the subscribe section that appears on the blog archive page. Available only in Pro.
  • Footer One / Footer Two / Footer Three / Footer Four: Widget columns in the footer area. The number of visible columns is controlled by the Number of widgets areas setting in Footer Options. Footer Four only appears when the count is set to 4.
  • Primary Menu: The main navigation menu displayed in the header bar.
  • Footer Menu: A menu displayed in the bottom footer bar alongside the copyright credits.
  • Very Top Bar Menu: A menu displayed in the Very Top Bar, alongside the Very Top Bar widget area.
