How to request deletion of your ThemeIsle account and personal data โ
If you want to delete your ThemeIsle customer portal account or request removal of your personal data, this guide explains the supported process, what information to include in your request, and what happens after the request is processed.
๐ Note: This article covers the ThemeIsle customer portal account at store.themeisle.com. It does not apply to Optimole accounts (see How to delete my Optimole account) or to user accounts on your own WordPress site.
Is there a self-service delete option in the dashboard? โ
The ThemeIsle customer portal does not currently offer a self-service Delete Account button. Account deletion and personal data removal must be requested through support. The support team will verify your account and process the deletion manually.
How to submit a deletion request โ
To request deletion of your ThemeIsle account and personal data:
- Go to the ThemeIsle contact page and open a new support ticket.
- Use the email address associated with your ThemeIsle account when submitting the request, or clearly state that email address in your message.
- In your request, include the following:
- A clear statement that you want your account and personal data deleted (you may reference your right to erasure under GDPR Article 17 if applicable).
- The email address registered to your ThemeIsle account.
- Your full name as it appears on the account or on any purchase receipts.
๐ก Tip: Sending the request from the email address linked to your account helps the support team verify your identity and process the request without delays.
What happens after you submit the request โ
After you submit your request, the support team will:
- Verify the account associated with the email address you provided.
- Process the deletion and removal or anonymization of your personal data from ThemeIsle's internal systems.
- Send you a confirmation once the deletion is complete.
Processing times may vary. If you do not receive a confirmation within a reasonable timeframe, follow up by replying to your original support ticket.
Important consequences before requesting deletion โ
Before submitting a deletion request, be aware of the following:
- License access โ Deleting your account removes access to your license keys, product downloads, and activation history. Any active plugins or themes using those licenses may lose access to updates and premium features.
- Invoices and purchase history โ You will no longer have access to your invoices or order history through the portal. Download any invoices you need before submitting the request. See How to download my invoice and receipt.
- Active subscriptions โ Account deletion does not automatically cancel active subscriptions. To avoid future charges, cancel any active subscriptions before requesting account deletion. See How to cancel my subscription.
- Data retention for legal purposes โ Certain data, such as transaction records, may be retained for a period of time to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations, even after an account deletion request is processed.
โ ๏ธ Important: Cancel any active subscriptions before requesting account deletion. A deleted account does not stop subscription renewals if a payment method is still on file.
