Troubleshooting Checkout and Purchase Failures

If you're having trouble completing a purchase on the Themeisle website, this guide covers the most common issues and how to resolve them.

You Already Have an Active Subscription

If you're trying to purchase a product that you already have an active subscription for, the checkout may fail or show an error. This is because your existing subscription is still active and will automatically renew.

How to check: Log in to your ThemeIsle account and look at the My Products tab. If the product shows as active with a future renewal date, no new purchase is needed.

If you want to upgrade your existing plan (for example, from a 1-site to a 3-site license), please contact our support team for assistance with the upgrade.

Payment Method Issues

Card declined - Your bank may decline the transaction for various reasons, including insufficient funds, international transaction blocks, or security restrictions. Try the following:

  1. Verify that your card details (number, expiration date, CVV) are entered correctly.
  2. Make sure your card is enabled for online and international transactions.
  3. Try using a different payment method.
  4. Contact your bank to authorize the transaction.

3D Secure authentication failed - Some cards require additional verification (3D Secure/SCA). If the authentication popup didn't load or timed out, try again with a stable internet connection and make sure your browser doesn't block popups.

Browser and Connection Issues

Clear your browser cache - Stale cached data can sometimes interfere with the checkout process. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again.

Disable browser extensions - Ad blockers, privacy extensions, or VPNs can sometimes block payment processing scripts. Try disabling them temporarily or use an incognito/private browsing window.

Try a different browser - If the issue persists, try completing the purchase in a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge).

Confirmation Email Not Received

If the checkout appeared to complete but you didn't receive a confirmation email:

  1. Check your Spam and Junk folders.
  2. Log in to your ThemeIsle account to check if the purchase appears in your account.
  3. If the purchase shows in your account, the email may have been delayed. Your license key and download links will be available in your account dashboard.
