Can I remove credits from ThemeIsle themes?

All of our themes are released under the GPL license, which grants you the right to use, modify, and redistribute the code.

💰 Check our current pricing options and support the continued development of these products.

📌 You're allowed to remove credits from our themes without asking for our permission.

📝 Note: If you keep it or get the PRO version of the theme, we will appreciate your support, but it's completely your choice.

Redistributing or publishing a derivative theme

If you are redistributing a modified or derivative theme based on our code, the following applies:

Retain copyright and license notices. The GPL requires that original copyright and license notices in the source files are preserved. You may add your own notices alongside them.

Trademarks are not covered by the GPL. The "Neve" and "ThemeIsle" names and logos are trademarks and are not licensed under the GPL. Do not use them in your theme's public name, description, or marketing in a way that implies official endorsement or affiliation. Describing your theme as "based on GPL-licensed code" is acceptable; presenting it as an official ThemeIsle product or using "Neve" in the theme name is not.

WordPress.org theme review rules apply. If you plan to submit a derivative theme to the WordPress.org theme directory, it must comply with the WordPress.org Theme Review Guidelines, which prohibit cloning an existing theme's design.

This article provides general guidance only, not legal advice. If you are distributing a commercial derivative work, consult a legal professional familiar with open-source licensing.
