How to create products in Stripe?

What is a Stripe product?

Stripe products are digital or physical goods, services, or subscriptions that you can sell or manage through the Stripe payment platform.

In the context of Stripe, a "product" is a representation of something you sell, and it is used to set up and manage your offerings within the Stripe dashboard.

You can set up Stripe products as one-off purchases, where your customers make a single payment for the product, or as subscriptions, where your customers are billed recurring payments at regular intervals, like monthly, quarterly, or annual.

Stripe + WP Full Pay (WordPress) integration working flow

When you use WP Full Pay to accept Stripe payments on your WordPress site, the flow works like this:

1. You create a product in your Stripe dashboard (a one-time or recurring payment product).
2. Next, you create payment forms in the WP Full Pay dashboard on WordPress.

3. You add the respective product from Stripe, to set pricing for the payment forms you created.

   For example, when your create a subscription form on WP Full Pay, you import the recurring revenue product from your Stripe account. Or, if you're creating a donation form, you can add one-off or recurring revenue product from Stripe, depending on your model.

When you're importing the Stripe product to a form that you are creating, WP Full Pay fetches the products you've created from the Stripe dashboard.

Creating products in Stripe

1. Go to stripe.com and log in to your account.
2. In your Stripe dashboard, navigate to the “Products” tab on the left-hand side menu.

3. Click on the “Add product” button to create a new product.

   

4. Enter the details of your product, including the name, description, and pricing. You can also upload an image.

   

5. Choose recurring or one-time payment to set the pricing for your product.
6. Click the “Save product” button to save your product.
