Currency & Fee Recovery Options in WP Full Pay

From the Full pay → Settings → Currency & Fee Recovery, you can customize how payment amounts, dates, and other financial details are displayed on your dashboard.

These settings are intended to localize how financial information is presented within WP Full Pay on your WordPress dashboard. This localization caters to the preferences and standards of different countries and regions, ensuring that the display of payment-related information is consistent with your business practices and your audience’s expectations.

What you can do here:

    • Choose to format decimal numbers with a dot (e.g., $10.99) or a comma (e.g., $10,99).
    • Decide whether to display the currency as a symbol (e.g., $10.99) or as a code (e.g., USD 10.99).
    • Select the placement of the currency identifier, either to the left (e.g., €10.99) or to the right (e.g., 10.99€) of the amount.
    • Opt whether to insert a space between the currency amount and the currency symbol/code (e.g., choosing between "10.99EUR" or "10.99 EUR").

Fee Recovery

WP Full Pay includes a Fee Recovery feature that helps website owners recover payment processing costs by passing them on to customers. This ensures that the net payment received matches the intended charge amount. The feature is available from version 8.2.0 onwards.

Below are the configurable options available:

  • Fee Recovery: Enable or disable the fee recovery feature.
  • Fee Opt-in: Define whether users can opt in to cover the fee.
  • Opt-in Message: Show a custom message to the user when they are prompted to cover the transaction fee. By default, it says:I'd like to cover the transaction fees of {{fee_amount}}. Use {{fee_amount}} placeholder to dynamically display the calculated fee.
  • Currency: Select the currency in which the fees are calculated and displayed.
  • Fee Percentage: Specify the percentage of the transaction amount that will be charged as a fee.
  • Additional Fee Amount: Add a fixed fee on top of the percentage.

Per-Form Fee Recovery Settings

Each form can override the global Fee Recovery configuration by selecting a custom option under Form Fields for any specific form.

Fee Recovery Options

  • Inherit from Global Settings (default): Uses the global configuration.
  • Customize: Allows this form to have its own fee recovery settings.
  • Disable: Turns off fee recovery for this specific form, regardless of the global setting.
