Post Type Compatibility
FreshRank AI currently works with Posts only. It does not support Pages or custom post types at this time.
Understanding Posts vs. Pages
WordPress has different types of content, and it's important to know which type FreshRank can analyze:
Posts (Supported ✓)
Posts are what you'll find under Posts in your WordPress dashboard sidebar. These are typically:
- Blog articles
- News updates
- Articles organized by categories and tags
- Content that appears in your blog feed
FreshRank can analyze and update Posts.
Pages (Not Currently Supported)
Pages are found under Pages in your WordPress dashboard sidebar. These are typically:
- Your About page
- Contact page
- Services page
- Other static pages on your site
FreshRank cannot currently analyze Pages.
Custom Post Types (Not Currently Supported)
Some WordPress sites use custom content types created by themes or plugins, such as:
- Portfolio items
- Products (from e-commerce plugins)
- Team members
- Testimonials
- Events
FreshRank cannot currently analyze custom post types.
How to Check Your Content Type
If you're not sure whether something is a Post or a Page:
- Look at your WordPress dashboard sidebar
- If you edit the content under Posts → All Posts, it's a Post (compatible with FreshRank)
- If you edit it under Pages → All Pages, it's a Page (not yet compatible)
- If you edit it under a different menu item (like "Products" or "Portfolio"), it's a custom post type (not yet compatible)
What This Means for You
- Only content created as Posts will appear in your FreshRank dashboard
- You can analyze and update only your blog articles and post-type content
- Pages and custom post types will not be available for analysis
Note: Support for additional content types may be added in future updates. For now, focus your FreshRank efforts on your blog posts and article content.
