Display Options and Layouts

Social Slider Feed offers several layout options to match the look of your site. You can configure each feed's appearance from the feed settings in your WordPress dashboard.

Available Layouts

Slider

Displays posts in a horizontal, scrollable carousel. This layout works well for showcasing a collection of images in a compact space.

Grid

Displays posts in a fixed-column grid. You can control the number of columns and the spacing between images.

Masonry

Displays posts in a multi-column layout where each image occupies its natural height. This creates a Pinterest-style look and works well for feeds with varying image dimensions.

Display Settings

The following settings are available for all layouts:

  • Number of posts — Controls how many posts are displayed in the feed.
  • Image size — Sets the size of each image thumbnail.
  • Columns — Sets the number of columns (for Grid and Masonry layouts).
  • Spacing — Controls the gap between images.
  • Order — Displays posts in chronological or reverse-chronological order.
  • Show captions — Toggles caption display beneath each image.
  • Show likes and comments — Toggles the display of engagement counts.
  • Link to Instagram — Controls whether clicking an image opens the original post on Instagram.

Configuring a Layout

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Social Slider Feed.
  2. Open the feed you want to configure.
  3. Select a layout — Slider, Grid, or Masonry.
  4. Adjust the display settings to match your design.
  5. Click Save.

The updated layout will take effect immediately on your site.

💡 Tip: Use the Slider layout in sidebar widgets where space is limited, and the Grid or Masonry layout on dedicated feed pages or within post content.

Responsive Behavior

All layouts automatically adjust to the screen size of the visitor's device. The number of columns in Grid and Masonry layouts may reduce on smaller screens to maintain readability.
