🧩 Integrations

The Web Developer starter site uses a very simple setup that is based on Neve’s customization options and Otter Blocks. All layouts have been created as static pages, so you can easily replace them with your own content. Layouts for Post Archives and Single Posts are powered by Neve’s customizer.

🧰 Customizations

Change Styles

A great way to quickly customize your starter site is through Neve’s Customizer (in Neve > Customize). Try out the different font presets under the “Typography” panel and the different Color Palettes located under “Colors and Background”. These will result in a completely new look and feel within seconds.

Single Portfolio

Portfolio layouts are provided as static pages, and do not follow a template. You can start editing the content of the existing pages and replace it with your own. If you want to create a new portfolio item, you can duplicate a page and replace the content.

Portfolio Page

There are two variations provided in your portfolio layout; feel free to pick the one that works best for you.

Creating Custom Post types

You can also create a more advanced setup by creating a custom post type for your portfolio items, and use Neve Custom Layouts to create dynamic templates for this new post type.

📝 Note: For creating new post types, you can use a plugin like Pods – Custom Content Types and Fields - Plugins.

Custom CSS

The starter site makes use of a tiny amount of custom CSS to make minor design adjustments (mainly add border)on some elements. You can find it under the “Additional CSS” panel in the Customizer.
