How to integrate Google Analytics with your WordPress website

So you have created a Google Analytics account and now want to integrate it with your WordPress website.
In this documentation we'll be using a lightweight and simple plugin for this. Here's how to do it:

1) Install GA Google Analytics Plugin

For this, go to Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add New and type in the search box "GA Google Analytics". It should look like this.

When the download is complete, activate it and we're ready to move to the next and final step.

2) Configure the plugin

Now that you have downloaded the plugin, we need to configure it. Don't worry, it's a fast and simple task.

In your WP Dashboard, go to Settings -> GA Plugin. It shoud look like this

First, you should enter your GA Property ID. You get this from your account on Google Analytics. If you don't know where to get it from, there are instructions below.

Next, I have marked with red arrows the boxes that need to be checked.
If your website is using https only, then you should also check the box for "Force SSL".

Click on the Save button and you're ready, now you have Google Analytics tracking on your website.

If you don't know where to get your GA property ID from, here's a brief guide:

1) Go to  Google Analytics and login to your your account

2) Next, go to Admin and select Property Settings

3) Copy&paste it in the plugin's configuration page

Here is more details on how to setup Google Analytics in WordPress. That's it, you are now a "master" at integrating Google Analytics with your WordPress website.
