Fallback Image in Feedzy RSS Feeds

๐Ÿ“Note: This feature is part of the Feed to Post import method. which is a premium feature. Learn more about importing items as posts from this doc.

When the original feed posts lack a featured image, fallback images can be employed. In this way, you can ensure consistency across your website by using a predefined image for such cases.

๐Ÿ“ Individual Fallback Image

As its name suggests, the individual fallback image can be set during the imports. Choosing specific fallback images for different imports, instead of using one image for all, is helpful when you want each import to have its own special illustration. This way, you can customize the visuals to match the content, making the experience more personal and fitting for users. It's handy when you want to keep your brand style consistent but also highlight specific posts with unique images.

1

Navigate to Feedzy > Import Posts.

2

Create/edit an import job.

3

During the import, open the General Feed Settings area.

4

Search for the Fallback Image field and insert a characteristic image for the feed topic.

5

Save the import and check the results.

๐Ÿ’กResult

As you can see above, posts from the import where we set an individual fallback image use this specific image.

๐ŸŒ Global Fallback Image

Similarly, the global fallback image will appear when the posts don't have a featured image. In this case, the global fallback image will be applied for all imports, so no matter the feed topic, the same image will appear.

๐Ÿ“Note: If you also set an individual fallback image, it has priority over the global one.

1

Navigate to the WP Dashboard > Feedzy > Settings.

2

Open the General panel.

3

Choose the desired fallback image.

4

Save the changes.
