Elementor Compatibility in Feedzy RSS Feeds

Feedzy RSS Feeds is a very useful tool when it comes to spreading content and its compatibility with page builders, in this case, Elementor, has been improved by adding:

  • ๐Ÿ”› feed items fields available as dynamic tags
  • ๐Ÿ” filtering the results
  • ๐Ÿ”„ strong caching the retrieved items from the feed

All these options are available after installing the premium versions of the plugins:

๐Ÿงฐ Dashboard configuration

Step 1: Navigate to Dashboard > Templates > Theme Builder.

Step 2: Click on the Add New button.

Step 3: When the window with "Choose template type" appears, select the Feedzy Loop template and type a template name.

Step 4: In the Elementor editor, click on the โž• button from the widget section, to add a new component.

Select the structure ( one column ) and choose the elements ( as in the list below ), according to the desired aspect. 

In order to create a Feedzy related template, use the dynamic tags from the end of the field icon and scroll until the Feedzy Feed Items label.

Start the customization, using the dynamic tag's value, from the Settings menu of the Feedzy Feed Items.

  • Heading
    • Title - Feedzy Feed Items - Tag = Item title.

    • Link - Feedzy Feed Items - Tag = Item URL.

  • Image
    • Dynamic tags - Feedzy Item Image.
  • Text Editor
    • Dynamic tags - Feedzy Feed Items - Tag = Item Content.
  • Button
    • Link - Feedzy Feed Items - Tag = Item URL.

๐Ÿงท Using the template for a new page

After creating the template and configuring it, navigate to the Dashboard > Pages > Add new, and create a new page.

Open the page, and click on the Edit with Elementor button.

When the Elementor editor opens, click on the  โž• button from the widget area, and add the Feedzy Loop component.

Options of the Feedzy Loop component:

  • Configure the Feedzy RSS Feed - by adding the feed source URL.
    • Number of items to display - choose how many articles to be displayed.
    • Ignore the first N items of the feed - it will start loading articles from the specified point.
    • Summary Length - type the desired number of characters to be displayed. 
    • For how long we will cache the feed results - select the period desired to cache the results. 

  • Template dropdown - type the name of the template ( from Step 3) and click on it.

    • the feed should appear on the right side by now.

Save / Update the page and see the changes.
