 Layout

Neve offers multiple customization  options for the layout, which are divided into multiple panels:

  •  Container - adjust the responsive container width (in PX) and content vertical spacing (in PX and VH) to customize the content's top and bottom margins; also configure the container style of Blog/Archive, Single Post, Shop/Archive, and Single Product, with Contained/Full Width options.
  • Content/Sidebar - display the sidebar ( full width/left/right ), and adjust the content width. The Advanced Options toggle allows you to control the sidebar appearance on particular areas of your website.

Apart from these two panels, specific customizations can be found under each section of the website:

  • Blog/Archive
  • Single Post
  • Page
  • Homepage Settings - here, you can select what the homepage should display (a static page of your choice or your latest posts) and also select the posts page.

πŸ“ Note: The Customizer option sets the default sidebar position for various types of pages, and by editing a particular page with the individual option, the Customizer value might be overwritten.

πŸ“ Note: Use the covers header layout, author box, and infinite scroll post navigation on the single post layout with Neve Pro, which you can get on this page.

Neve comes with a new versatile builder for the header areas of your site. With just a few clicks, you can create your perfect header.

The header builder has  three rows ( Top | Main | Bottom ) in which you can easily select and arrange the available components you can find while hovering over each division of the rows.

You can also  edit the mobile resolution sidebar by clicking on the Mobile Sidebar component below the Headers.

πŸ“ Note: Learn more about the Mobile Sidebar from this doc.

There are a couple of presets from which you can choose, making your job easier. For this, you have to navigate to Header > Header Presets.

πŸ“ Note: For more details about Neve Header Builder, check this doc.

πŸ“ Note: Explore more options like sticky and conditional headers, breadcrumbs, dividers, social icons, and other components, including more copies of them with the Neve Pro Header Booster module, which you can get from here. It also has a dedicated Page Header section.

Neve includes a flexible builder for the footer section of your website, which allows you to design the layout you want with minimal effort easily.

Similar to the header builder, the  footer builder has three rows ( Top | Main | Bottom ) in which you can easily select and arrange the available components you can find while hovering over each division of the rows.

πŸ“ Note: For more information about Neve Footer Builder, check this doc.

πŸ“ Note: Explore more options like sticky footer rows, payment icons, social icons, dividers, and other components, including more copies of them with the Neve Pro Header Booster module, which you can get from here.

 Colors & Background

Colors play an extremely significant role in website design. Using the new Global Colors option in Neve, you can easily create a beautifully unified color palette on your site.

These options generally apply  across the site unless more specific options are selected for some elements.

πŸ“ Note: If some of the options don't apply on a page, make sure that page is not created using Elementor or any other page builder. If that's the case, you'll need to customize the page using the page builder.

πŸ“ Note: For more information about Global Colors in Neve, check this doc.

 Typography

This section covers how fonts work in Neve, where to change them, the font family, font size, and other typography options:

  • General - the options will apply to all site texts unless that text is a heading (H1 - H6).
  • Headings - options dedicated to headings.
  • Blog - specific configurations for the blog/archive page and the single posts.

The typography options include text transform, font weight, font size, line height, letter spacing, and a Fallback Font with Font Family.

πŸ“ Note: Get more control over the blog and shop page with Neve Typography options.

 Buttons

To customize the global appearance of the buttons, use the Buttons panel inside Customizer:

  • General -  settings for the responsive padding and for the button text, which consists of typography options available for the buttons.
  • Primary and Secondary Button - with two styles for the buttons: Filled and Outline. Apart from colors, there are also border controls.

Some  primary buttons are: Add to Cart, Update Cart and Proceed to Checkout, while secondary buttons are View Cart, Post Comment, and Apply Coupon.

πŸ“ Note: The buttons can also be customized individually inside the editor, including changing the text or appearance. Check this doc for further details.

πŸ“ Note:  The Buttons options available in the Neve Customizer panel apply to the buttons with the following CSS classes, .button.button-primary and .button.button-secondary

 Form Fields

There are options in the theme for  styling forms, which can be added by using dedicated plugins, such as WPForms Lite, Contact Form 7, or page builders like Elementor

πŸ“ Note: Some of the plugins might have their own styling options that can override the theme settings.

πŸ“ Note: Learn more about form fields by following this link.

Some of Neve's starter sites come with built-in one-page scroll navigation. In other words, by  clicking on an item in the menu navigation, you will navigate to a specific section from that current page. This is done by using the Menu Anchor widget from Elementor (or similar widgets) to add specific IDs to each section. To link to a section, you would need to link to that ID, like #about, for example.

πŸ“  Note: This approach works well for a single page. If you want to make sure the navigation will work the same way on other internal pages as well, make sure you use the full link of your site, on the menu, like https://demo.themeisle.com/hestia-pro/#about, for example.

The options available here are spread into two areas:

  • Menus - the primary and secondary menus will appear, with the possibility of creating a new one. Each of the panels (primary/secondary) contain the pages attached with the possibility of reordering or adding new ones.
  • Menu Locations - the user can select which menu should appear in a certain location, with a constraint: a menu can be displayed in only three locations.

There is also a button that gives the possibility to  delete a menu.

πŸ“ Note: Here is a useful doc that explains how to build a mega menu in Neve.

 Widgets

Widgets are blocks/sections sharing various information, such as the latest posts, a calendar, and a contact form, and those can be shared in the dedicated areas declared in the theme.

 Woocommerce

The free version of Neve provides useful settings for the  shop pages. These settings will be visible only if you use the Woocommerce plugin.

πŸ“ Note: Learn more about Neve Shop from this doc.

πŸ“ Note: Advanced reviews, Multi-Announcement bars, a Comparison table, and other shop-related features are available with the  Neve Pro > WooCommerce Booster module that you can get on this page.

 Additional CSS

The Additional CSS panel includes a set of mini-instructions, with a few links to documentation and a field where code snippets can be added.

πŸ“ Note: If you need help with understanding CSS, here is a doc about how to code basic CSS.
